Hosting Woes

You may have noticed the site has been down for most all of Saturday (or more likely you haven’t 🙂 ) Basically after my initial euphoria about Awardspace as my webhosting provider they go and start fiddling with PHP settings with the net effect of totally breaking my nice shiny new blog. I’m looking to redo the site yet again as i don’t really have time to do full on html design anymore so blogging is probably the way forward as it’s so quick and easy i’m more likely to keep the site up to date!

Please don’t forget this is a blog site so you can contribute too!, click the ‘Add comment’ link at the bottom of any article from which you can register for an account and then add your own comments to any of the articles on this site that interest you !

Playing childsplay.

Childsplay is a ‘suite’ of educational games for young children, like gcompris,
but without the overkill of c/c++ and the gnome environ.:-)
Also the use of the SDL libraries makes smooth animation and the playing of sound very easy. Childsplay uses a plugin system for the games, so you might want to check the childsplay-plugins page.
(There are two built-in games; Memory and a typing game)
Childsplay and the games are GNU-GPL licensed and are tested on GNU/Linux, FreeBSD and the Windows platforms. (98/ME/2K/XP)

It’s Alive !!

After many hours hard labour (Miles gave up pretty quickly) the Dinasour was finished, pretty scary I think you’ll agree !!

Sundays Make & Do

Today we all felt creative so out came the egg boxes, glue and paint and much mess ensued. The aim was to create our very own dinasour as Miles is very jealous of the one little George pig has on TV !

My day as a Piggy !

On Friday this week (24th Feb) I had to dress up as a character from a book for school, and I chose one of the three little pigs !

Daddy downloaded TUX paint for me, I like it as it’s easy to use and there is lots of nice stamps that you can download to make pictures with. You can download it from here

The domain cf-designs.co.uk is no longer hosted with bluesky-technologies. Hopefully I haven’t lost any emails, if anyone suspects I may have please resend or alternatively start using our new thf.org.uk addresses !!

AwardSpace Hosting

thf.org.uk is hosted for free on AwardSpace.com. It’s pretty sweet 200mb space, 5gb bandwidth, php, cpanel admin and MySql database! One thing to note though they do run hotlink protection so if you’re running Internet privacy software or a firewall that block referers you’ll notice no images on this site. Check the online help or manual for your software on how to unblock referers if you experiance this problem.
